3 years ago, Ryan was working at the Baldwin Street Grille under different ownership. As fate would have it, 2 weeks after his son Sebastian was born, Ryan came into work only to find out that the owner was selling the place and he and the rest of the staff would be out of a job. Having nearly 13 years of experience in the industry, and having held almost every position from server to Assistant GM, Ryan had his son’s future in mind and took a leap of faith. Putting everything on the line and risking it all, he agreed take over ownership of the Baldwin Street Grille so that everyone could keep they’re jobs and save the place that he & the neighboring community loved to call home! You can find him here almost every day, sometimes in the dining area, meeting, greeting, and getting to know everyone who stops in, other times, behind the bar, making drinks with a smile and occasionally performing bar tricks or blowing fireballs.

4 years ago, Renee moved to Madison from Detroit, MI and happened to stumble into the Baldwin Street Grille only to find the kind of people and atmosphere that she had left behind and so dearly missed from home. Armed with her quick wit and genuinely pure personality she quickly became a BG cornerstone by making lasting, ironclad friendships and was even hired on the spot. Today Renee is as much a part of the Baldwin Street Grille as the walls and foundation. She has made it her personal goal to give everyone that comes through the door that “Welcome home” feeling that she felt years ago as a stranger to a new city in a new state.

15 years ago, Bob was one of the top chefs in the area, but life threw him some vicious curveballs and he left the business. However, Bob’s tenacious attitude, will power, and love for the culinary arts helped him overcome adversity not only returning him to the industry but to the Baldwin Street Grille, for which we are truly thankful. Currently, he is studying to become an AODA counselor, interns at a treatment center, and works to build a program that helps others achieve holistic recovery through the culinary arts. In addition, he showcases his smile, charm, contagious laugh, and unmatched culinary skills at the BSG daily. He’s honored to call the Baldwin Street Grille home and devotes 110% of his heart and soul to make every dish.

We not only strive to welcome you into the BSG but to the community and Baldwin family as well. With inviting service, friendly clientele, great stories and camaraderie, lasting friendships have and continue to be easily made here at the BSG.
Our top-notch kitchen staff has a real passion for the culinary arts and only serves food that we can be proud of. Each individual brings something unique and valuable to the table and with our varying backgrounds and specialties working in unison, we excel at producing nothing but sublime and comforting dishes.
